Bangladesh joined the 35th Malaysia International Machinery Fair 2024 for the first time under the initiative of the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur.
The three-day fair began at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre on Thursday, reports BSS.
A total of 780 institutions from ten countries, including Bangladesh, are taking part in the fair.
Other participating countries are China, Germany, Korea Indonesia, Taiwan, Iran, Japan, India, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation Deputy Chief Executive Officer Abu Bakar Yusof inaugurated the fair on Thursday.
On the second day on Friday, Bangladesh High Commissioner to Malaysia Md Shameem Ahsan visited the fair and the Bangladesh stall there.
Plastic items, readymade dresses, leather goods, jute products, food items and others are being exhibited in the Bangladesh stall.
Besides, different publications on the light engineering industry, packaging industry, Bangladesh trade and investment are on display. Documentaries on tourism and the potential of investment in Bangladesh are also being screened.
