Bangladesh registered 22 Covid-19 deaths in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Thursday, according to a release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
With the new deaths, the Covid-29 fatalities rose to 12,480.
Besides, 1,292 people tested positive for the virus during the same period pushing the caseloads to 7,94,985.
According to the DGHS, the toll of recoveries now stands at 7,35,157 with 1,291 patients got cured of the disease in the 24 hours bringing the rate of recoveries at 92.47 per cent.
The rate of positivity now stands at 13.50 per cent while the mortality rate 1.57 per cent.
Bangladesh is currently observing a nationwide lockdown which is scheduled to continue till May 30 as part of the government measures taken against the virus spread.
