Bangladesh logs 34 Covid-19 deaths, 1,444 infections

Bangladesh registered 34 more deaths in the past 24 hours till 8:00am Sunday taking the toll to 12,583 according to a routine press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.

Besides, 1,444 people tested positive for the virus during the same period pushing the caseloads to 7,98,830.

A total of 1,397 patients recovered from the virus in the past 24 hours. So far, 738,805 people recovered from coronavirus in Bangladesh, said the release.

The infection rate of the virus went up to 10.11 per cent in the last 24 hours.

Of the deceased, 23 were male and 11 female and Chattogram registered highest 12 deaths in the past 24 hours.
