Bangladesh continued to record above 7,000 COVID-19 fresh cases for the second day on Monday and 52 more patients died from the disease in the past 24 hours till 8:00 am on the day.
With this, the total number of deaths rose to 9,318, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
With Monday's 7,075, the total number of infected people rose to 6,44,439.
The directorate said that at least 2,932 COVID-19 patients have recovered during the period.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 5,55,414.
