Bangladesh registered 7,087 COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours till 8:00 am on Sunday, a highest daily rise since the beginning of the pandemic.
The Directorate General of Health Services has confirmed the matter in a press release.
More 53 people have died from the virus during the same period of 24-hour taking its tally to 9,266.
With 7,087 new infections, the total number of cases in the country reached 637,364, said the DGHS.
The total number of new recoveries stood at 552,482 including new recoveries of 2,707 on Sunday.
