Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said Bangladesh will soon get around 5 million AstraZeneca vaccine doses from Poland and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as gifts.

Bangladesh will get 14,99,270 doses of AstraZeneca doses from Saudi Arabia.

"Our Ambassador in Riyadh has informed me that 14,99,270 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine will come from the King Salman Relief Fund," Momen said in a message from Paris on Tuesday.

The vaccine doses will arrive in Dhaka by the next two or three days, he added.

Meanwhile, Poland will provide 3.3 million AstraZeneca shots free of cost to Bangladesh and these are being any day, Momen said.

Poland will donate these vaccine doses through the European Union (EU).
