Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today said Bangladesh has achieved remarkable success in all socio-economic indicators and the country will move forward further to materialize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
“We will move forward more to materialize the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working to this end. We will help him to materialize the dream,” he said.
The minister said this while speaking as the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the ‘Mujib Corner and Bangabandhu Mural’ at the Janata Bank Headquarters in Dhaka.
Bangladesh Bank Governor Fazle Kabir, Senior Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division M Ashadul Islam and Chairman of the Janata Bank Board of Directors Dr SM Mahfuzur Rahman, among others, spoke on the occasion.
Janata Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Md Abdus Salam Azad delivered the welcome speech.
Mustafa Kamal said Bangabandhu is the inspiration of the country’s people and the young generation will take forward the country in the way shown by Bangabandhu.
“We are now enjoying demographic dividend. If we can properly use the opportunity, we will become a developed country as per the dream of Father of the Nation,” he added.
He lauded all banks for their contribution during the Covid-19 pandemic through providing stimulus packages and keeping the country’s economy stable.
Fazle Kabir urged all banks, including the Janata Bank, to contribute more in the disbursement of stimulus packages and the Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) loans.
M Ashadul Islam said the corner will help the next generation to know about Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Through acquiring knowledge about Bangabandhu, he said, they will be able to exercise it in their daily life and play a vital role in the development of the country.
