Prime Minister's Private Industries and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman on Monday said Bangladesh wants to give a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) to Ireland where many Irish big companies will invest.

"To this end, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) will be inked between the two countries at the foreign ministers level very soon. I hope that trade and investment between the two countries will be increased," he said.

Salman said this while meeting with Irish Minister for Enterprise, Trade, and Employment Simon Coveney at Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) Bhaban in the city, reading a press release.

Moreover, Salman informed, he will visit Ireland with senior ministers and officials to explore sectors for Irish investment in Bangladesh.

Speaking about Ireland's interest in the country's tourism sector, he said if Bangladesh wants, Ireland will provide all sorts of cooperation to the country for infrastructure development.
