Mohammad Saiyedul Islam, a Bangladeshi student in China, received the "Excellent Camper Award" for his outstanding performance and contribution to the “Northeast Asian Youth Camp on Sustainable Development – 2022” held in China's Jiangxi province.

The theme of the youth camp was, "Envoy for Cultural, Youth for Strength."

He received a certificate and money equivalent to Tk 50000.

This youth camp was jointly sponsored by China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, South Korea's SK Group, the Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangxi Provincial People's Government and Jiangxi Provincial People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries which is held in Nanchang city, the capital of Jiangxi Province.

Li Bin, vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation; and Cui Taiyuan, Chairman of South Korea's SK Group delivered a video speech during the closing ceremony.

Mohammad Saiyedul Islam, the recipient of the Excellent Camper Award, also spoke as a representative of the international participants at the youth camp.

Fang Xinwen, deputy director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department of China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, Tian Fuxi, vice president of South Korea's SK Group in China, Zhao Hui, director of Jiangxi Foreign Affairs Office and the president of Jiangxi Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries also attended the closing ceremony.

Mohammad Saiyedul Islam said in the youth camp has created a platform for us to understand each other, foster friendship, promote common development among people, and exchange culture.

During the three-day visit to Nanchang, we were able to understand the unique charm of Jiangxi's culture and the practical experience and strategy of China's development under the leadership of the Communist Party of China.

Young people should play a greater role in being a messenger of cultural exchange between China and foreign countries.

Saiyedul Islam is currently doing a PhD in the International Trade program at Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics under the full Chinese Government Scholarship.

He was admitted to a Master's Degree in International Business with a full Chinese Government Scholarship for higher education at the same university in 2018.

In addition to his studies, he is involved as a journalist and in various social activities in China. His good work has already been praised by China's influential public and private media.

More than 40 students from Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Russia, Yemen, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Zambia, and Papua New Guinea participated in this youth camp.
