The reporters who want to build career in banking journalism can gain knowledge from a book titled ‘Banking Reporter Kala-kausal (Techniques of Banking Reports)’ authored by journalist Shahin Howlader.
Anindya Prokash has published the book which provides proper guidance for those who want to prepare banking reports or for those who get involved in journalism profession.
Shahin Howlader, a banking sector journalist, has written in this book how to publish banking reports in newspapers on his experience as a reporter.
The book also explained about what kind of reports can be made on various issues of the banking sector and how to publish these reports in newspapers.
The author of the book told The Business Post, “In our country, the tools of data journalism in the banking sector are very less. I believe that the book will play a helpful role in the preparation of banking reports for those interested in the profession of economic journalism.”
The book is available at Anindya Prakash (Pavilion No 20) and Dhaka Reporters Unity’s stall (Stall No 773) at the book fair on the Bangla Academy premises.
However, 38 new titles hit the book fair on Saturday.
Poet and researcher Shahanaz Parvin, poet and translator Saiful Bhuiyan, fiction writer Shahanaz Parvin Smriti and researcher Moniruzzaman Shahin discussed their new books at the programme “Lekhok Bolchi”.
A discussion titled “Remembrance: Mohammad Rafiq and Remembrance: Khalekh Bin Joyenuddin” was held at the main stage of the fair on Bangla Academy ground at 4pm. Altaf Shahnewaz and Sujon Barua presented the article while Abul Momen presided over the event. Shamim Reza, Shoaib Zibran, Aslam Sani and Amirul Islam also participated in the programme.
“Poet Mohammad Rafiq and rhymer and children’s writer Khalekh Bin Joyenuddin enriched Bengali literature with their literary talent. Through literature, they have tried to fulfil their commitment to this country and its people. Their literary works play a vital role in instilling patriotism and positive attitudes among the new generation.” Abul Momen Elias said in his speech.
A discussion titled “Remembrance: Architect Mubasshar Hussein” will be held at the main stage of the fair on Bangla Academy grounds at 4pm today. Kazi Nurul Karim will present the article while Zabun Nasrin Ahamed will preside over the event. Tanvir Nawaz and Mahmudul Anwar Riad will also participate in the event.
The fair will open at 3:00pm Sunday and end at 9:00pm. Visitors can’t enter the fair after 8:30pm.
