Authorized dealer (AD) banks dealing with foreign exchanges will be able to pay export bill from their own funds, Bangladesh Bank said on Sunday through a circular.
So far only the offshore banking units had the authority to pay export bill from their own funds.
The circular said, Authorized Dealers (ADs) are allowed to arrange fund for discounting usnace export bills in foreign exchange through their correspondent banks, financial institutions abroad or international financing institutions.
However, Bangladesh Bank has also instructed banks not to spend money outside the payment of this bill.
