BB adviser Allah Malik Kazemi dies from Covid-19

Allah Malik Kazemi, Advisor on Change Management, Bangladesh Bank, died of coronavirus on Friday (June 26).

Confirming the news, central bank executive director Habibur Rahman said, "He died at the hospital around 5pm on Friday.”

He was on life support at the Evercare Hospital in the capital.

He was under treatment at the hospital for some time after being diagnosed with coronavirus. Later, he was placed on life support as his physical condition deteriorated.

Allah Malik Kazemi was the deputy governor of the Bangladesh Bank from 2001 to 2005. He has been working as an advisor since 2009. He was the eldest official of the bank.
