Bangladesh Bank (BB) has asked all its staffers to implement a set of 10 contingency strategy plans to prevent the risks of coronavirus transmission as the central bank reopens its doors to clients from Sunday (May 31) after nearly two-month long countrywide lockdown.
The contingency strategies include setting up disinfection tunnels in front of 3 buildings of BB headquarters in Dhaka, and providing masks and sanitizers to all employees.
BB General Manager Md Mahbubul Haque issued a circular in this regard on Saturday (May 30).
The circular said only four to six staffers of the central bank will be allowed to use lifts at once.
Retired employees of BB won’t be allowed to visit the central bank offices for medicines. They have been suggested to buy medicine from local dispensaries. BB will pay for the expenses later, added the circular.
