Sheikh Farid Uddin Soad, joint director Bangladesh Bank, died from Covid-19 infection on Monday morning while undergoing treatment at the Holy Family Hospital in the capital.
The concerned department of the central bank has confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
Sheikh Farid Uddin Soad was stationed at Bangladesh Bank Training Academy.
He is survived by his wife and a son.
