The Bangladesh China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCCI) and China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) have signed an MoU to explore more opportunities in trade and economic relations.
The MoU calls for establishing friendly and cooperative relations, support trade and investment promotion activities, read a press release on Saturday.
In order to encourage and facilitate the business communities of both the two countries will tune with the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) BCCCI and CCPIT.
These will help to explore new areas by strengthening cooperation in infrastructural connectivity, biopharmaceuticals, clean energy, agricultural sector alongside investment and financing.
Emphasis would also be given to strengthen collaboration and exchanges in commercial, and legal services, assisting business communities to better understand the national trade and investment environment, laws and regulations applicable, resolving business, disputes, manage risks and properly address economic and trade frictions through mediation, arbitration, and industry dialogues.
The MoU was signed between BCCCI and CCPIT respectively by the leader of the visiting CCPIT Delegation Vice Chairman of CCPIT Mr Zhang Shaogang¸ and the BCCCI Secretary General Mr Al Mamun Mridha, on 11 March, 2023 at BCCCI Office.
Apart from the head of CCPIT delegation, the team also included, Vice Chairman CCPIT Mr Zhang Shaogang, Deputy Director-General Department of Bilateral Cooperation CCOIC Mr Xu Jinli, Director of International Relations Department CCPIT Mr Li Shuai, Deputy Director of International Relations Department CCPIT Mr Lyu Xiangming, Official General Office CCPIT Mr Zheng Ziyu, Official, International Relations Department CCPIT Ms Wang Yakun, and Vice Chairman China Chamber of International Commerce Qingdao Chamber Mr Jiao Junji.
BCCCI was represented by President of BCCCI Gazi Golam Murtoza, Senior vice President Md Sultan Uddin Iqbal, Senior vice President A T M Azizul Akil David, Vice President Mohammad Ishaqul Hossain Sweet, Vice President Md Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, Vice President Md Shahid Alam, Secretary General Meherun Nessa Islam Director Al Mamun Mridha, Director Md Faizul Alam, Director Mr Syed Aminul Kabir and Director SK Amin Uddin.
