The National University on Saturday postponed the ongoing B.Ed Honors examination till further notice due to the worsening flood situation in several districts of the country.
Only the B.Ed Honors 1st year 2nd semester and 2020 B.Ed Honors 2nd year 4th semester examinations running under National University would be postponed, a press release issued by DU public relations said.
The revised schedule of these two suspended examinations will be communicated to all concerned later, the press release added.
The sufferings of flood-hit people in Sylhet and Sunamganj districts have mounted with more and more areas going under water and suspension of power supply to the two districts. The situation turned severe with rising water levels in major rivers due to onrush of hilly water from India.

The unprecedented flood inundated 80 per cent area of Sylhet division and 90 per cent area of Sunamganj, according to Flood Forecast and Warning Centre.
According to the local weather office, the water level of many rivers will rise in the next two days due to onrush of water from upstream.

According to the Water Development Boards, many rivers have been flowing above the danger levels at many points.
