The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has instructed all banks to freeze the accounts of former Cumilla MP AKM Bahauddin Bahar, his wife Mehrunnesha and his daughter Tahsina Bahar Shuchona, former mayor of Cumilla City Corporation.
To this end, the BFIU on Thursday sent a letter to all the banks, reports BSS.
Additionally, the accounts of Bahar’s other daughters - Ayman Bahar and Aziza Bahar, as well as Tahsin Bahar’s husband Saiful Alam Roni have also been frozen.
The banks have been instructed to submit the details of all accounts associated with them within the next two days.
