Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) on Thursday asked banks to submit accounts details of e-commerce platform PriyoShop.com Ltd and its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Asikul Alam Khan.
BFIU, the intelligence agency of the country's financial sector issued the letter to banks, asking them to submit the information within five working days.
Banks are also asked to submit the transaction vouchers of Tk1 lakh and above within the next 10 working days, as per the BFIU letter.
The intelligence agency of the country recently asked for bank accounts details of 23 digital platforms.
The government has lately been taking various steps to discipline the e-commerce sector amid rampant allegations of not delivering products despite taking advance payments from the customers.
