Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Director General (DG) Major General Mohammad Ashrafuzzaman Siddiqui has visited several border regions of Bandarban and inspected Thanchi and Ruma upazilas on Monday.
He visited Bolipara Battalion (38 BGB) under Bandarban sector and discussed a few matters with BGB members at all levels.
During his visit, on duty BGB members of every battalion, BOPs and camps under Bandarban sector were connected through VTC/wireless sets, read a press release Monday.
The BGB chief exchanged views with everyone and gave advice on operational, training and administrative issues. After that, he visited spot-height TOB, Thanchi BOP and Thanchi Bazar post under Bolipara Battalion.
Later, Ashrafuzzaman visited the headquarters of Ruma Battalion (9 BGB) and its subordinate Dopanichhara BOP, and interacted with BGB members at all levels.
Additional DG (GS Branch) of BGB headquarters, BGB Cox’s Bazar region commander, Bandarban sector commander, Bandarban Army region commander and other BGB officers including Bolipara and Ruma battalion commanders were present during the visit.
