A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel were killed in a road mishap in the Chitrali Bazar area of Khalishpur Police Station in the city.
Police identified the deceased as Murad Hossain, son of Sheikh Nazrul Islam of Kalia Upazila in Narail.
Deputy Police Commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) B M Nuruzzaman said the accident took place yesterday evening when a bus rammed into Murad's motorcycle from behind in the BIDC road area, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) with a serious head injury where the duty doctor declared him dead.
The body was later handed over to his family members.
Police seized the bus and the process of filing a case is underway.
