Members of Border Guard Bangladesh on Tuesday seized six gold bars worth Tk 2.6 crore at Daulatpur border area in Benapole.
Lt Col Tanvir Rahman, commander of the Khulna BGB-21 Battalion, said they launched a drive after being tipped-off that a man was smuggling the gold bars to India through the border.
The smuggler fled to India crossing the Ichamati River, leaving behind the gold bars, said the BGB official.
