Bhutanese King pays homage to Bangabandhu

Visiting Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck on Monday paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum in city's Dhanmondi-32.

Bangabandhu's youngest daughter Sheikh Rehana and granddaughter and South East Asian Regional Director for the World Health Organisation Saima Wazed Putul received the Bhutanese king when he reached the area.

After laying the wreath, the Bhutan King stood in solemn silence for some time as a mark of profound respect to the memory of Bangabandhu, reports BSS.

Later, he signed the visitor's book at Bangabandhu Bhaban in Dhanmondi-32.

The Bhutanese King went around the rooms of the museum.

State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat and Curator of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Museum Md Nazrul Islam Khan were present.
