A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed when his motorbike collided with a CNG-run autorickshaw in the capital’s Banasree area Monday morning.
The deceased was identified as Md Ashikur Rahman, son of AK Abdul Amin of Banasree Block-A.
Hedayetul Islam Nayan, the deceased’s elder brother, said Ashikur went out in the morning and the accident occurred near the Farazy Hospital.
Ashikur was rescued and first taken to the Farazy hospital. Later, he was shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctors on duty declared him dead at around 11am.
The body has been kept at the hospital morgue, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost.
