Biman board of directors reformed

The government has reconstituted the board of directors of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.

The Civil Aviation and Tourism Affairs Ministry announced the reform in a gazette notification on Tuesday. 

According to a Biman press release issued Wednesday, the newly restructured board includes a mix of high-ranking government officials and distinguished figures from various sectors. 

Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury, a former adviser to the caretaker government, has been made chairman of the board of directors of Biman.

The other people in the 13-member Biman board included senior officials such the secretary of civil aviation ministry, secretary of finance division at finance ministry, chairman of national board of revenue, secretary of chief adviser's office, chairman of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, engineer-in-chief of Bangladesh Army and Biman's managing director and CEO.
