A fire that broke out at BM Container Depot at Shitalpur in Sitakunda upazila on Tuesday is under control.
“The fire broke out at a jute container inside the depot around 3:15 pm and spread soon. Two firefighting units rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control” the Station officer of Kumira Fire Service Station Kafil Uddin told the Business post.
"The fire started from the jute goods kept for export at a jute container," Fire Service and Civil Defence Office said.
Nearly six months ago a deadly fire claimed 51 lives at the same depot.
