BMD forecasts light to moderate rain across country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted light to moderate rain or thundershowers across the country over 24 hours commencing 10 am on Thursday.

"Light to moderate rain/thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram & Sylhet divisions and at many places over Rajshahi & Dhaka divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at places over the country", said a Met office bulletin.

Day and night temperatures may fall slightly over the country, it added.

The country’s highest 39mm rainfall was recorded in Ramgati in 24 hours till 6am Thursday.
