Abdul Mannan, a vice chairman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has passed away at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
He breathed his last at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital on Tuesday evening while undergoing treatment.
Shamsuddin Didar, an official in the press wing of the BNP chairperson confirmed the news to The Business Post.
Abdul Mannan was also a state minister of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.
He is survived by his only daughter Barrister Mehnaj Mannan, son-in-law Barrister Nasiruddin Ahmed Asim and a host of relatives to mourn his death.
