The bodies of two children, who went missing from the district's Bijoyanagar upazila, were found in a waterbody in Dalpa village of Ichapura union on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Md Hossain, 7, and Morsalin, 6.
Locals spotted the bodies floating in the Koillar Beel in Dalpa village in the morning and informed the police.
Officer-in charge of Bijoynagar police station Faisal Ahmed said the bodies were sent to the district Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. "A probe into the deaths is on," he said.
