A worker of a factory was killed in a boiler explosion at Shyampur in the capital on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Mahbub, 70, of Srinagar in Munshiganj district.
Inspector Bachchu Mia, in charge of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital police camp, said the boiler machine of the aluminium product making factory went off with a big bang, leaving Mahbub injured.
Later, he was taken to DMCH where doctors declared him dead around 10:00pm.
