The Bangladesh Road Transport Authority resumes its services from Monday on a limited scale following the health guidelines.
In a notice issued on Sunday, BRTA said the authorities from its metro and district circle offices would render services like vehicle registration, acknowledgement slips for renewal of route permit certificates, temporary permission for driving, applications for changing ownership of vehicles, and extension of motor vehicle registration certification process.
The notice was signed by BRTA Director for engineering department Shitangshu Shekhar Biswas.
Other services of BRTA, according to the notice, will be resumed in phases.
They include completion of its pending works, renewal of fitness certificates of motor vehicles, acceptance of valid applications for renewal of driving licences and route permits, issuing learner driving licences, holding driving competency tests, taking biometric of driving licence applicants, taking biometric of motor vehicle owners for digital registration certificates, addition of retro-reflective number plates and radiofrequency identification (RFID) tags to motor vehicles.
