The government has appointed Dhaka University (DU) Professors Dr Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed and Mizanur Rahman as new commissioners of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC).
The Finance Ministry confirmed the appointments in a notification issued Wednesday (May 20).
Prof Dr Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed and Prof Mizanur Rahman have been appointed for next 4 years, said the notification.
Prof Shaikh Shamsuddin Ahmed, a professor of Finance department at DU, is currently one of the directors of Janata Bank and Dr Mizanur Rahman is a professor of Accounting and Information Systems at the same university.
