Former news editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) Quamrul Islam Chowdhury died of liver ailments at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital at 8:30pm on Tuesday.
He was 63, family sources said.
Chowdhury is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
He was the former general secretary of the Jatiya Press Club and Chairman of the Forum of Environmental Journalists of Bangladesh (FEJB).
