BSTI cancels licenses of 8 products

Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) has cancelled the licenses of eight products of six companies due to the expiry of their licenses, according to a press release on Tuesday.

At the meeting of the Certification Committee of BSTI on Monday, the licenses have been annulled as per Section 16 (5) of the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institutions Act 2018 and the Licensing Agreement.

The notification of BSTI, the body that formulates and regulates the products, said that the institutions concerned have been instructed to refrain from selling and distributing these products and promoting commercial advertisements without obtaining a valid license. At the same time, the consumers are requested to refrain from purchasing products of these brands.

The products are: ‘Bashmoti’ of Green Oil and Poultry Feed Industries, ‘Ifad Solid Gold’ of Ifad Multi Products Ltd., ‘Peuriva’ and ‘Ripe’ of Agrotech International Ltd, ‘Tasty’ of Green Trade House, ‘Okay’ of Chandgaon, ‘RD Juchila’ and ‘RD Fazali’ mango fruit drinks.
