Mohammad Shahjahan Khan, the immediate past president of the Bangladesh-Thai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BTCCI), passed away on Monday. He was 73.
Shahjahan Khan, also a former president of the Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry, breathed his last in Bangkok, Thailand, the BTCCI said in a press release.
He was the former senior vice-president of the Barisal Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, chairman and managing director of SS Shipping and Chartering Limited, SS Builders and Developers Ltd and Fatema Real Estate and Developers Ltd.
“His death is a great loss to the business community and all his associates. His visionary leadership will be missed by everyone,” read the release.
The BTCCI prayed for the eternal salvation of the departed soul and conveyed deep condolences to the bereaved family members.
