A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) & Plan International Bangladesh (PIB) in order to foster comprehensive development and to prioritise the skill development of youth.

The official signing ceremony took place at BTEB conference hall in Dhaka on Tuesday, said a press release issued on Tuesday.

The MoU was signed by the Chairman of Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) Md Ali Akbar Khan, and the Country Director of Plan International Bangladesh (PIB) Kabita Bose as a form of mutual commitment to promote inclusivity and provide accessible pathways for skill acquisition.

Both parties tend to target career development through online-based selected ICT occupations and to establish an online learning platform for brushing up careers through skill acquisition and development in the field of TVET.

Country Director of PIB Kabita Bose said, “This MoU is the beginning of our journey and I believe that we will be able to complete this program successfully through the efforts of both parties.”

“Plan International Bangladesh will continue to provide all kinds of support to make this MoU effective” he said.

Chairman of BTEB Md Ali Akbar Khan said Bangladesh Technical Education Board has been providing various tools, training and coaching to support the kind of work that Plan International Bangladesh is doing to advance the youths.

“We both tend to work together to move forward,” he said.

Plan International Bangladesh (PIB) and Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) have collaborated to address critical technical and vocational education and training (TVET) areas to empower youth and advance socio-economic development.

The partnership underscores a commitment to holistic learning, revising and developing Competency Standards (CS) and Competency-Based Learning Materials (CBLM), and establishing an online platform for career pathways, gender inclusion, and socio-economic empowerment.
