Bangladesh University of Science and Technology (BUET) pays homage to the language martyrs marking the martyrs’ demise on International Mother Language Day on February 21.
The authority started their endeavor with a procession that revolved around the Palashi intersection and stopped at the Shaheed Minar (Language mausoleum) where the BUET Vice Chancellor Dr Satya Prasad Mazumder concluded their endeavor by offering floral wreaths to the altar of the mausoleum.
The whole host of deans, heads of departments, members of the Students’ welfare council, the registrar, provost, directors of polymorphic departments, and the heads of all centres and schools took part in the procession among the rest of the employees.
Earlier, the vice chancellor offered a wreath in the altar of the model mausoleum along the campus gate.
