BUETians support Abu Sayed's family

The BUETians are supporting the family of Abu Sayed, a member of the coordinating committee of the quota reform movement and a student of the English Department of Rangpur's Begum Rokeya University, who was shot dead by the police.

BUET students posted in their Facebook page named “বুয়েটিয়ান – BUETian” that Tk 10.5 lakh had been deposited to their bank accounts till 10:30pm Wednesday to help Abu Saeed's family.

The post also said, "We contacted Abu Saeed's family and heard from them briefly about their needs. After hearing everything, we decided on a draft — repairing the house of Abu Saeed's family, Buy a cow, Provision of land and appurtenances, arranging medical treatment for Sayed’s brother.

A team of BUET students will meet Abu Saeed's family in Pirganj, Rangpur on Thursday, and will post regular updates on their Facebook page.
