Human resource management holds a pivotal role in both small and large-scale business sectors, shaping and executing strategies essential for corporate success. Human Resources, often abbreviated as HR, is essentially the department within a corporation that deals with people.
Currently, Bangladesh is on the verge of tapping into its demographic dividend, where 65 per cent of its population is capable of working, with a significant portion being youth.
The effective utilisation of our vast human resources demands meticulous planning and comprehensive training. Human resource departments are dedicated to empowering youth through skill acquisition and fostering innovation, all with a pledge to navigate organizational success across diverse and promising fields in the future.
To combat the crucial challenges and explore more about the HR world, ‘BUP Human Resource and Leadership Club’ is back with its flagship event, “Advent HR 3.0," an HR strategy-based case competition, a platform full of unparalleled opportunities to network with shine. This HR strategy-based case competition is sponsored by Captains’ World and co-sponsored by North Bengal Agro Farms Limited. The gold sponsor is PFEC Globals. By participating in this nationwide competition, university students will be able to elevate their skills, acknowledge their expertise, and reward themselves with prestigious honours. Engaging themselves in tackling real-world HR challenges, where their strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities will be thoroughly evaluated. This isn't just a platform to display student’s HR proficiency; it's an opportunity to influence the future of the workplace.
The event will feature three rounds of selection. The first round, "Unleashing HR Brilliance," will showcase teams' strategic plans for business development. Boot camps and workshops will be organized for successful participants in the first round, providing them with information on human resources and corporate relations crucial for their future career paths. This round will be held online from March 27th to March 30th.
In the second round, "Ignition," successful teams from the first round will participate, engaging in challenges to compete and develop visionary HR solutions.
The third round, "Implication Unfolds," will see finalists refine their plans and present them to judges for practical transformation. All undergraduate students are welcome to embark on this journey to puzzle out real-world HR challenges with ‘AdventHR 3.0’. Cross-university teams are allowed.
Each team must consist of 3–4 members. To participate, a registration fee of 600 Tk will have to be paid by March 27, 2024. The competition offers an exciting prize pool of 90,000 Tk for the winning team, 50,000 Tk for the champion team, and 25,000 Tk and 15,000 Tk for the first and second runner-up teams, respectively.
This event, 'AdventHR 3.0', is being organized by the BUP Human Resource and Leadership Club, which aims to inspire the younger generation to embrace the responsibility of leadership and has been working towards this goal since 2019.
