Three passengers of a private car were killed when a passenger bus hit the car in the Jokanon area of Cumilla Sadar South area of Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 3:00am Friday.
Abdur Rahman, sub-inspector (SI) of Comilla's Mainamati Highway police station, confirmed the matter.
He said, ‘A Shyamoli Paribahan bus hit a private car travelling from Dhaka to Chattogram while taking a U-turn in the area.’
Two died on the spot while another died on the way to Dhaka, he added.
"We are trying to identify the victims. The bodies are at the Highway police station. Further action will be taken after the autopsy," the SI further said.
