Three people were killed and fifteen others injured in a collision between a bus and a train in Fatehpur area of Feni Sadar early Sunday.
Identities of the deceased couldn’t be known immediately. The injured have been taken to Feni Sadar Hospital for treatment.
Feni railway station assistant engineer Riton Chakma confirmed the matter to The Business Post.
A Chattogram bound mail train hit another Chattogram bound bus at Fatehpur rail crossing around 6am, leaving two passengers of the bus dead on the spot and sixteen others injured. Of them, one succumbed to injuries while was being taken to hospital.
The accident happened as the driver of the bus denied a signal given by the gateman of the rail crossing, said Riton.
Passengers of the bus alleged that the driver seemed drowsy but he kept driving the bus.
