MA Mannan, founder and chairman of Butterfly Group, died on Wednesday. He was 78.
He breathed his last breath at 4:00am, said a press release.
Mannan was more than a businessman, he was known for his inspiring persona, his social activism and as a trailblazer in his field. He is one of the pioneers responsible for the monumental growth of the electronic industry in Bangladesh.
His first namaz-e-janaza was held at Azad Mosque in Gulshan 2 and the second namaz-e-janaza was held in his hometown Sreepur, Gazipur on Wednesday, the release read.
His legacy lives on in his wife, two sons, a daughter and countless well-wishers.
