Bangladesh Volunteers Organization has held a winter cake festival for the underprivileged children to bring smiles on their faces on a cold day.
The volunteers organised the event titled, “Pothoshishuder Niye Shiter Ananda” at Banasree in the capital on December 24.
The BVO organised the event for around 180 underprivileged children who celebrated the day amid various programmes.
They spent the day singing songs, dancing, reciting poems, telling stories, and playing games.
The volunteers served them winter cakes and lunch as well.
Alongside, the organisation distributed blankets to each of the children.
BVO President Hamim Ahsan, Vice-President Sohanul Islam Shaon, General Secretary Solaiman Islam Nishad, Publication Secretary Tonima Rashid, Project Manager Ismat Jahan, and advisers Sumaiya Jannat and Touhidul Islam Rihad were present at the event.
Besides, the organisation members — Salman Khan, Mohammad Sohan, Abu Hanif Sourav, Ishtiaq Farhan Siddik, Saiful Islam Sunny, Rifa Tasnia, among others, attended the programme.
