CDC wants to examine Gonoshasthaya kit: Dr Zafrullah

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a leading national public health institute of the United States, has expressed its interest to test the accuracy of Gonoshasthaya Kendra invented Covid-19 testing kit -- GR Covid-19 Dot Blot.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Medical Research Council, an autonomous national research body, also expressed its interest to examine the accuracy of Gonoshashtya kit.

Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury, founder and trustee of the Gonoshasthaya Kendra confirmed the matter to The Business Post.

Zafrullah said CDC has already sent a letter to his organisation with a requisition of 800 kits.

Earlier in the week Gonoshasthaya Kendra handed over the Covid-19 testing kit CDC for feedback.

The handover ceremony was held at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in the capital's Dhanmondi.
