The clearing and forwarding (C&F) agents of the customs houses and stations across the country have postponed their two-day work abstention programme.
Earlier on Saturday, the Federation of Bangladesh Customs Clearing and Forwarding Agents Association announced to observe the strike for Tuesday and Wednesday to realise various demands including amendments to the Customs Agent Licensing Rules-2020.
The federation in a press statement on Monday said that they postponed the strike following a meeting with the senior government officials on Sunday.
The officials assured the federation leaders that they would resolve the issues after discussing those with the authorities concerned within the next 15 days and urged the federation to postpone their strike for the period, it said.
