District administration in Chattogram has asked traders to close all shops excepting drug stores and kitchen markets in Chattogram city after 6:00pm in the wake of a sharp rise in the number of COVID-19 infections.
Chattogram deputy commissioner Mohammad Mominur Rahman told journalists that all restaurants, shopping centres and shopping malls in Chattogram would remain closed from 6:00pm till April 14. Violators of the instructions will be punished by a mobile court, he said.
He added that there was no alternative to awareness and adhere to hygiene and wearing masks.
