Christmas is a magical time of goodwill and giving back. People want to celebrate the day with friends and family.

But the situation is extraordinary this year amid the coronavirus pandemic. And the Christian community here celebrated their biggest religious festival on Friday amid restrictions and limitations.

In Bangladesh, Christmas carols and hymns will be sung before and after the prayer sessions at the churches.

Also, priests have taken safety measures such as wearing masks, maintaining social distancing and using hand sanitiser.

President Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina greeted the country’s Christian community in separate messages.
