The lowest temperature of 10.6 degrees Celsius was recorded in Chuadanga district on Friday morning.

According to the Met office bulletin: "Weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky over the country. Moderate to thick fog may occur over the country during midnight to morning."

Night and day temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, said the bulletin.

Rakibul Hasan, in-charge of Chuadanga Weather Observatory Centre, said they have recorded 10.6 degrees Celsius at 9 am on Friday, which is the lowest temperature in the country.

The situation will continue for the next few days, he added.

The shivering cold has disrupted the day-to-day lives of people, especially the daily wage earners in the district.

People are being forced to remain indoors due to the cold.

Mahabub Morshed, who was sitting on the balcony of Chuadanga railway station said, " I came to Chuadanga with two friends from Dhaka for two days. In the meantime, the district recorded the lowest temperature in the country. “We are shivering.”
