Police restricted the movement of vehicles and pedestrians in the city’s New Market area on Wednesday night as the students of Dhaka College engaged in multiple clashes with the students of Teachers Training College (TTC).
Blasts of several crude bombs were reported in the area after the clash broke out around 9:00pm, police said.
A Dhaka College student said three students of the college’s North Hall were beaten up at TTC. Then the students of North Hall and other dorms started attacking and storming TTC.
However, he couldn’t clarify the reason for beating up the three.
New Market police station Inspector Giasuddin said that police were trying to bring the situation under control.
