At least 13 people were injured in a clash over hanging a signboard in Chattogram’s Bakalia police station area on Friday.
Local and police sources said that the clash broke out between two group of people, led by respectively Mohammad Illias and the followers of local influential Yakub Ali in Bara Maulvi's house area.
One group attacked another group while they were hanging a signboard at Bara Moulavi Graveyard in East Bakalia area at about 11:30am, said Md Ruhul Amin, officer-in-charge of Bakalia police station.
These two groups were also involved in gun shooting, four of them were wounded, one critically injured.
The injured people were taken to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
