A college student was killed in a road accident at Chunti Jangalia area of Chattogram-Cox's Bazar highway area of Lohagara upazila under Chattogram district around 8:30pm on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Junaidur Rahman Rony, 21, a second-year college student of Chattogram Government Model School and College and son of Late Saleh Ahmed of Rahmania para of Chunti Union.
Khan Mohammad Erfan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Dohazari Highway Police Station, said the college student was killed when a Cox's Bazar-bound bus hit a motorcycle on Friday evening.
“The body of the deceased has been handed over to his family on behalf of the request to give the body without a post-mortem. The bus was seized, but the driver managed to flee the scene,” he added.
